A few pictures up from painting in atx at photogs.
"Nowadays, naked women are just bad porn." :(
How come you will be charged with double homicide for murdering a pregnant woman, but abortion is legal?

Spoon!! I was apathetic about them for a long time, but their punchy adult guitar rock has slowly crept into my current playlists, now dominating. Classic. I can't say I love them, but I am starting to like them a lot. Perhaps that is a better way of going about enjoying art.

nice. new photogs make my day.
you can't touch porn though. and if all you're doing is looking at a real naked person, you must be at a strip club. which is sorta porn. it's like the Apple IIe of porn.
yeah, but if a guy who uses porn is about to sleep with a girl, i imagine that it's going to take a lot more than seeing her naked body to turn him on. and that's where the girl loses!
from my perspective, your assumption is dead wrong :) maybe not everyone is like that though, I dunno. But to me, there's a difference between pixels on a screen or ink on paper, and the touch or sight of a real lover.
yes, there is a difference! a big one. but there's something about being inundated with such fantasies that can take away the realness of .. a real person. iono, I am not in a place of experience to speak fully on these matters. Heeh! It is subject matter in a book I am currently reading.
it's a nice quote though. maybe you should conduct a study! get some attractive dudes to strip for you, rate their attractiveness and how turned on you are on a scale of 1-10. Then submerge yourself in porn for six months, and then get some more dudes and rate everything over again. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if for some people, porn acted as a primer and the presence of a real-life person wasn't more appealing after looking at it on paper/teh computer all day than it would have been otherwise.
I don't know why abortion is legal, there are arguments for and against that. But I think it's similar to the felony murder law where if say, someone has a heart attack as you're walking out the door after robbing a bank, you're also charged with murder. That person would have had the heart attack anyways, and nobody would have been sent to prison for it if you hadn't committed the crime. I think that particular law is about sticking it to the established, legally defined murderer, and has nothing to do with the issue of whether killing an unborn fetus is against the law.
oh, didn't know about the law you referenced. yes, the issue's more complicated than the question makes it out to be.
